Those batteries ROCK. I expected that these higher powered versions would be the same- WRONG.I should have known something was fishy since the 2650 mAH are cheaper than the 2000 mAH.
That is, unless you want to be putting these things on the charger every week- because that is how long it takes for them to drain without use. However, the 2000 mAH versions have been sitting in my external flashes for two weeks- and I can turn it on and it's ready to go.Why try to save $4 by going with a higher mAH battery that will just drain quicker and might not be there when you need them.
The fact is, these 2650's lose their charge VERY rapidly- and when you have a six hour charger- these 2650's quickly become worthless. My mistake was believing that the only difference between the two versions was the higher mAH.So save yourself a headache and buy the 2000 mAH versions instead.
I previously purchased eight of the 2000 mAH Duracell batteries- the first four came with a charger. They do not discharge over time, which means you can leave them sitting in a device and expect it to have power when you need it.
Besides, quite honestly, the 2000 mAH have enough power to recycle my flashes very quickly.
The service offered was really good, but the truth is that the time these batteries keep charged is not good at all.
I've purchased a 4-pack and 8-pack from two different sources and both have had individual batteries that would not hold a charge right out of the package. I would recommend against buying the black and green ones. Very disappointed in these particular Duracell rechargeables, the HR6 DC1500 series. I have Duracell HR6 DX1500 series rechargeable batteries (the ones with the traditional "copper-top" look) and those have performed much better.
I have been a faithful Duracell alkaline customer, but don't waste your money on these NiMh batteries. However, after about 10 cycles through my recharger, they will no longer hold a charge for more than a few hours. For the first few weeks, they seemed to work fine. While the Energizers are lower capacity, I can keep them in my camera bag for days after recharging and they will give full performance. I have owned a set of these for about 6 months, primarily for use in a digital camera. I was attracted by the supposed higher capacity of 2650 mAh. I have tried two different chargers that do well with older Energizer NiMh batteries.
Would not recommend Duracells for heavy duty rechargeable use. Expected more. I used these in my digital camera, and they didn't hold a charge after less than a hundred cycles. Very disappointed in these. On the other hand, I have Energizers that are still doing just fine after two years.
